Marking World Kidney Day on 12 March

KISCO Diagnostic Centre observed World Kidney Day on Thursday, 12 March 2026 with a short awareness programme at our Pala centre. The session was open to walk-in visitors and to patients attending the centre along with the family members who accompany them.

Our staff spoke about the everyday habits that help keep the kidneys working well, and about the tests that let a doctor pick up trouble early. Points covered during the session included:

  • Keeping blood pressure and blood sugar under regular review
  • Drinking enough water through the day, particularly in hot weather
  • Avoiding pain-killers and unprescribed medicines taken over long periods
  • Having a serum creatinine and urine routine test whenever your doctor advises it

Leaflets and questions

Printed leaflets in Malayalam were given out at the reception through the day, and visitors were able to ask our staff about the renal function tests available at the Pala centre and how to prepare for them.

We thank everyone who took part. If you have been advised a renal function test, or would like to book one, please speak to the front desk at Pala or call 04822 212193.
