A joint programme at Kizhathadiyoor
A voluntary blood donation drive was held on Monday, 26 January 2026 at the Kizhathadiyoor Service Co-operative Bank head office, organised jointly by the Bank and KISCO Diagnostic Centre. Collection was carried out by a visiting team from a licensed blood bank, while our staff assisted with registration, the screening desk and refreshments.
Donors were received from 9:00 AM onwards. Before donating, each person was checked for haemoglobin, blood pressure and pulse, and the blood bank team recorded a short medical history as required by their protocol.
Who can donate
- Adults between 18 and 65 years in good general health
- Body weight of at least 45 kg
- At least three months since the last donation
- No fever, infection or recent course of antibiotics
Bank members, staff and neighbours from the surrounding wards came forward through the morning, and a number of first-time donors registered at the desk. Those who were not able to donate on the day were given the eligibility details in writing.
We are grateful to everyone who gave their time. To be informed about the next drive, leave your name and number at the Pala reception or call 04822 212193.
