Our clinical laboratory is the heart of KISCO. Fully computerised, automated analysers from reputed manufacturers process samples with minimal human handling, which is what keeps results both fast and consistent.

We cover the complete range of routine and specialised investigations: haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, hormone assays, urine and body-fluid analysis. Most routine reports are ready the same day and can be downloaded online.

Our radiology department combines modern digital imaging equipment with experienced radiologists, so findings are reported accurately and without delay.

Digital capture means lower radiation dose than conventional film, immediate review, and images that can be shared with your treating doctor electronically.

Mammography remains the most reliable way to detect breast changes before they can be felt. Our Lilyum mammography unit is operated by female technicians in a private, unhurried setting.

We recommend routine screening for women over 40, and earlier where there is a family history. Results are explained clearly, and our radiologist is available to discuss them.

Imaging without radiation

Ultrasound at our Pala centre runs on the Mindray DC-80 with the X-Insight intelligent imaging platform - crystal clear 2D and colour Doppler imaging, advanced 3D/4D, and shear wave and strain elastography for characterising lesions without a needle. At Erattupetta, scanning is done on the Sonoscape P40 Elite, with contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), micro flow imaging, a full HD monitor and 3D fetal face visualisation.

Our multi-slice CT scanner produces detailed cross-sectional images of the brain, chest, abdomen, spine and joints in a matter of seconds.

Shorter scan times mean less time holding still, which matters a great deal for elderly patients and anyone in pain. Every study is reported by a qualified radiologist.

An OPG (orthopantomogram) captures both jaws, all the teeth and the surrounding bone in one panoramic image, in a few seconds and at a very low radiation dose.

Dentists rely on it for planning extractions, implants and orthodontic work, and for assessing wisdom teeth and jaw joints.

Our digital X-ray suite covers everything from routine chest films to full-spine and full-leg studies used in orthopaedic assessment.

Because the images are captured digitally, there is no film processing wait: your radiograph is reviewed within minutes and the dose is lower than conventional X-ray.

A full leg full spine (FLFS) scanogram captures the entire spine or lower limb in a single digital exposure, so the orthopaedic specialist can measure alignment precisely instead of piecing together separate films.

An ECG records the electrical activity of your heart and takes only a few minutes. It is completely painless and requires no preparation.

It is a standard part of our master and cardiac health packages, and is often the first test requested when a patient reports chest discomfort, palpitations or breathlessness.

How well are your nerves conducting?

A nerve conduction study (NCV/NCS) measures how fast electrical signals travel along your nerves - the standard way to investigate numbness, tingling, weakness and conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and diabetic neuropathy. At KISCO it is performed on the Salus 4C EMG system by RMS.
